J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs!}

This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

  1. Hi JCA's,
    Anyone have a review on the Madewell Shearling Mongolian Pink Jacket?
    Thanks!

  2. I tried on the tissue turtleneck in stripe in my usual tissue turtleneck size of small and found it tight around the neck, noticeable as I was pulling it on. Every year I buy one or two tissue turtlenecks and always have bought a small. I'm usually xs in tops but always sized up to small in these. I found this years striped one to feel tighter overall and I didn't get to try a medium to compare. I was disappointed as I could always count on sizing for those tops in previous years.

  3. Collection pink & white stripe sequin skirt. This skirt is lovely; very similar to blue/white version. Fit is tts and the silk lining is a nice touch. Planning to pair with tiger t shirt and Drakes' print shirts. Multiple sizes are available; it's on sale & a very good buy with 40% off in store. Had online to match in store pricing.

    Harlow cardigan sweater with tipped silk inlay. I was on the fence about this cardigan after an in store tryon. Fit is tts and the silk inlay and black contrast works well with items in closet. Seeing it styled by @howtojcrew convinced me to order it. Happy with the decision. It's also on sale.

    Wide leg silk pant in polka dot. I ordered 2 sizes and decided to keep the larger of my 2 sizes. Fit is better. Polka dot is subtle and the dots are ivory; this will work well for 3 seasons in my climate.

    Oversized gem necklace in clear and heather carbon. This was a surprise find; I saw this one in store and really liked it on. Stones are plastic but with the size of the stones, that reduces the weight. It's not heavy and is a statement necklace. It's less than $20.

    Tiger tee shirt. Fit is tts. This is a fun tee. Cotton fabric is a good weight and I like the ivory color. Wore s nude bra and worked perfectly. Also on sale.

    Ratti diamond print off shoulder top and skirt. I ordered the skirt in a tall and that was the right call. Fit is tts and hits about an inch above the knee. I didn't have any issues with fit and quality of silk seems fine. I picked up the top after it went on sale; it does run a little big, but I did not size down. Sizing down would've made the sleeves shorter and I didn't want that. Can be worn on the shoulder with no issue. It matches the skirt perfectly so gives the look of a dress. Can pair with Harlow cardigan with silk inlay. @ 40% it's less than $30.

    Tiger print silk shirt. Took my normal size in this one. I love this print and it works well with so many J Crew bottoms like the rose gold sequin skirt. Silk is a good quality. Has mostly been sold out online but stores have inventory.

    Silverwood Wash Boyfriend denim - I took my normal size; I have buttocks so sizing down wasn't an option. Really love the fit and relaxed look on these. @inawonderland5 recommended and I decided to try them. Only my 2nd JC denim purchase and definitely recommend.

    1. I’ve been looking for the tiger print silk shirt! Haven’t seen any in NYC stores. Where have you seen it and how much is it going for now?

    2. Picked up @ Northpark Mall. It was included in 30% off purchase promo and I was able to stack educator discount.
