Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. No store visit, but I did happen to be online when the Factory promo switched over & managed to get the navy/oat Breton tee (# B8722) for $13.50 + free ship. Love those tees -- they're a thicker cotton, perfect for spring & fall, and they wear like iron.
As usual, though, prices jumped overnight and now that same tee is nearly $21 after promo.

    1. agree those are very nice tees! Nice fit and great thick cotton - wish they'd use that material more.

    2. Will have a look at the Breton tees. Thanks. Glad you grabbed a deal, cobalt!

    3. Good to know that this a good tee, cobalt! I have the Retail version (with thicker stripes), and I really liked those. Recently, however, I encountered one of those dreaded tiny holes in the belt buckle area of my red-striped shirt and I was so bummed (& surprised since this hadn't happened to either of my other tees). Hate when that happens! :-(

  2. Bought the linen sweater and linen stripe tank. Didn't plan to, but the sweater will be a great layering piece for our upcoming vacation to Ireland. And saw the stripe tank on mygoddy's IG and realized I needed that too;-)).
I orginally planned to wait till the price of the sweater would be reduced further, but then I realized I wouldn't have it in time. Can always ask for a price adjustment.

    1. Yeah! Glad you got the tank. Hope the sweater works too. Sounds like a cool trip you have planned.

    2. Thanks @mygoddy. Def a cool trip in both senses of the word. Temps in the 60's ;-))
Tank has shipped but sweater not yet so hoping it arrives in time. Why does it take J Crew so long to ship something ?!?

    3. I know! Fingers crossed everything arrives.

    1. Ditto.

Was hoping to score some board shorts for next winter's getaway, but the ones I want are sold out. I'll hold off till fall rolls in (said as it's over 32 degrees here, over 90 for my US friends).

    2. I keep checking Pinterest to see if they've uploaded anything. So antsy to see the August Style Guide. 😱

    3. That's cold, J.Crew Guy! Brrrrr...

    4. Hey JSR; just the opposite, 32 celsius = about 90 fahrenheit

  4. Here's a vent: I bought the knotback tank and the Downtown Field jacket at full price at a J.Crew store on Friday. Now it's Monday and both items are 30% off, online only. I've written for a price adjustment but this sale isn't in stores so I wonder if they will give it to me. So sick of their business practices. What's my incentive for ever shopping at a store again?

    1. Hi, when that's happened to me (online sale lower than price paid in store), I usually call CS and ask for the PA - never had an issue. It's helpful to have the receipt from the store handy, as they usually ask for the date of the sale, a transaction # and some other pieces of info listed on the receipt (store #, I think).

Agree that all the pricing yo-yoing is frustrating!!

    2. "No brainer." (Heh.) Call or email for the PA with your receipt handy, they'll give it to you.

    3. Besides if you ask in a store they will honor online pricing.

    4. @Suz Has, last week, I wanted to buy my husband a belt that came out to $20 with the 50% off. When the SA rang it up, it showed as $31.50 (was only 30% off) so I showed him the online price on my phone. At first he thought it was $40 and thusly, more expensive than the in-store price, so i explained that 'it was 50% off.' He said, 'Oh, ok' and proceeded to ring it up again. To $28.50. (??? 🙄)

So I said, that's ok, I don't need it, and went home to order it online myself. Had it shipped to the same store free it charge. Got it the next day. 🙂

    5. I agree, it's not always as simple as it should be and I've ordered duplicates to return several times when an item goes on sale because skmetimes it's easier than asking for a price adjustment.

    6. Well, you're right- I did get the price adjustment. I couldn't ask for any discount in the store at the time of purchase, because that particular sale wasn't on at the time. The sale started yesterday, three days after I'd made the purchase. They need to stop playing these games, though. I shouldn't have to police the prices every I go to buy something.

  5. Haven't been into Factory for awhile, walked in today, spotted a fabulous field jacket in a red/orange that's just perfect for me and I couldn't resist. Strangely, I can't find the jacket online. I think the colour is Resin. What a beautiful pop of colour, this jacket will make jeans and a t-shirt into a complete outfit!

    1. shopgrrrl that sounds nice. I just got the cross front top in fiery sunset. Same for the pop of color :)

    2. Fiery sunset looks like a similar shade to my jacket, though I think the jacket is more muted. After looking around on the site I realize that Resin is part of the name of the jacket (resin-coated), not the colour, but the colour code on the tag is SRE.

  6. Does anyone know if there's a percent off sale in the Madewell stores?
