Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. I stopped in to return the pink paisley mary janes (my usual 7.5 felt too long -- and definitely too narrow - so back they went. The J Crew in Marlton was running 25% off purchase with some exclusions although I didn't catch what the exclusions were. I ended up trying on and taking home the foulard Margot top - the navy one in the same size looked shapeless on me, but the pattern looked great. Go figure.

  2. Picked up Birds of Paradise shirt (sized up to have room in the shoulders) & ordered camel popover in merino wool (ordered usual size 8). Needed to use a coupon and had rewards and a gift card as well. It was interesting to hear the comments of my bestie who's not a regular J Crew shopper. Mostly favorable - good customer service & she loved the Drake prints but wasn't a fan of the brush stroke. She also thought price points were reasonable but kind of steep for staple items i.e. $90 for chinos.

Also went to Nordstrom; they're having a 40% off sale & summer items are marked down significantly too (ordered Tory Burch Cassie skirt; love the matching Eliza top. Ordered Vince silk mixed media wide leg pants. Nordstrom price matched Saks which is having a sale with up to 80% off). SA's tracked the items down for me; they're very helpful. Good time to buy Vince cashmere since it's 40% off; picked up cabernet boatneck rib cashmere sweater. This color is on my fall list. Based upon @valleyoftheshoes pics/review on IG, decided to try to the grey cashmere hoodie for casual wear. Vince cashmere is a good alternative to J Crew cashmere; I know some JCAs have been disappointed with quality of JC's cashmere & website reviews reinforce.

    1. Thank you so much, great browsing on a holiday. Love Amsterdam + Jcrew Fall. Looks classic Crew but I won't be able to wear those cropped pants in cold weather.
